5 Things God Cannot Do

Some people say that God can do any & everything. While this is correct in some aspects it is not completely correct in all aspects. There are five things that God cannot do.

1. God Cannot Lie.
2. God Cannot Die.
3. God Cannot Fail.
4. God Cannot be tempted with evil.
5. God Cannot work through unbelief

1. God Cannot Lie.

“In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began..” Titus (1:2)

2. God Cannot Die.

“For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say,  I live for ever.” Deut 32:40

3. God Cannot Fail.

“Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.” 1 Kings 8:56

4. God Cannot be tempted with evil.

Let no man say when he is tempted , I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: “James  1:13

5. God Cannot work through unbelief

“And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.  And he marvelled because of their unbelief. Mark 6:5-6″

“And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” Matt 13:58

GOD is so awesome & powerful and has no limitations except the limitations that He places upon Himself.

What A Love

Would you sacrifice your life for someone who was a good person? Would you sacrifice you life for someone who was a great person with a big heart?  But, what if someone was child molester, rapist & murder, would you sacrifice for life for that person.  The Bible says that “God shows His love for us in while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Rom 5:8 ESV.

Jesus Christ didn’t die for the:

1.   righteous but the unrighteous

2.   godly but the ungodly

3.   holy but the unholy

4.  clean but the unclean

5.  deserving but the undeserving.

WHAT A LOVE!!! WHAT A LOVE!!!

Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous

Often times people wondering how celebrities, and the rich & famous have so much drama in their lives. Being rich and famous doesn’t change people’s character. Just because a person has money that does not mean that the money & fame change who or what they are. If a person was a crack head, drunk, ghetto, thug & etc before they became rich and famous then after the fact they are just a rich and famous cracked head, drunk, ghetto, thug & etc.  Rich and famous people deal with the same problems as poor people, they deal with issues like depression, loneliness, anger, frustration, weight gain, health issues & etc. The only difference is they are rich and famous but have the same problems as poor people.  So being rich and famous not change people’s character as a matter of fact it just exposes their flaws & weakness on a larger public scale rather than a small private scale.  That same celebrity is you  & I with out the grace of God.  God just kept our issues & drama private instead of exposing them publicly.

Halftime/Lifetime Adjustments

Sometimes in a football game or basketball game the opponents gets ahead of the other team.  At half time the coaches will go in to make adjustments.  When the adjustments are made the team that was behind will sometimes come out to be the winner even if the team is playing in a hostile environment & have lost the momentum. I know life can sometimes be like a hostile environment, & we feel like we are falling behind & that we are losing momentum but make the necessary adjustments it is only half time. Sometimes those adjustments are just going back to the basics. You will come out on the winning end in the end.

Handout vs Help Out

There is a difference between a handout and a help out.  Most African Americans usually will vote in an election vote for the Democrats because they usually support the poor & minorities.  We should support the less fortunate, the poor & the minorities but I have a problem when this support turns from a help out unto a handout.  A handout is used when people look to the government to support & take care of them instead of taking responsibility and making things happen. On the other hand a help out is when someone wants to improve, grow and become productive in society but need something such as a small business loan.  Social programs are sometimes used to give people handouts.  A friend of mine once stated “the Republicans do not like or want to help anyone in need and the Democrats would like to give away the store.”

Let me pose a question to you, “If you had to approach someone to meet your basic needs on consistent basis would that give you freedom or bondage? Who is in control? If they had the choice to teach how to own & operate a grocery store or provide you with the groceries which option would you choose?  Would you prefer a help out or a handout?

In Summary, please get all the facts before you support or take the hand out. You could be giving up your life, privilege and/or freedom because you chose the hand out instead of the help out. We all need a little help every now & then but who wants to be controlled or in bondage.

“Courage is what it tak…

“Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.”

Winston Churchill

What is a promise?

“A promise is ( declaration), verbal or written, made by one person to another for a good or valuable cause, in the nature of a covenant by which the promisor binds himself in honor, conscience, or law to do or avoid (forbear) some act, and gives the promisee a legal right to expect, claim and demand fulfillment or performance of some particular thing.” Blacks Law Dictionary

For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 15And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Heb 6:13-15

Therefore when God makes a promise, He binds Himself through His Word and you have a legal right to expect, claim & demand fulfillment of the promise through His Word because of the covenant relationship you have with Him.

LIVING HELL

Adversity is one of God’s most powerful to that He uses to get people’s attention. The world gets our attention through pleasures but God gets our attention through pain.  There is not anyone one who likes to suffer but suffering causes grow.  The Bible said of the children of Israel “the more they afflicted them they more they multiplied and grew.” Some of our sufferings are some things that we’ve done and other times just life in which we don’t have any control over.  A hell is a place of confinement or restriction. Sometimes people go through adversity that seems like a “living hell.”

Some of the sufferings we’ve experienced because of things that we’ve done may impact others. A classic example is the biblical character Jonah who was running from the presence of the Lord & not fulfilling his assignment. The Lord caused a storm to come upon the sailors at sea because of Jonah.  Jonah did not respond to the storm so God  a prepared a great fish to swallow Jonah and at that time God got Jonah’s attention.

God knows how to prepare a situation to get people’s attention. God will create and prepare a” living hell” that he may allow you to see pain and try to reach out and get your attention. When we have pain in the natural such as a physical condition the pain is designed to get our attention to let you know that something is wrong.  So God may allow us to experience pain to get our attention and to let us know there may be something wrong.  God may be trying to get us to refocus on Him or to alert us of danger. When Jonah cried out of the “belly of hell” that is when God allow the fish to spit Jonah out of his belly. When turn to God and cry out to Him that is when he can deliver us from our “living hell”.
